Our Ethos is for all our Students to:
Learn their core Islamic Values.
Have confidence in their belief and practices.
Have respect for self and others.
Strive to better the community and the wider society.
Hussainia Madressa was set up in 1992 by our community elders who felt the younger generation needed a platform to better their Islamic education.
By the Grace of Allah and the dedication and prayers of our elders Hussainia Madressa now has over 140 children on roll. With an amazing team of over 20 volunteers, we teach children from the ages of 4 to 18 years, every Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm.
Alongside with teaching Quranic Recitation, our syllabus covers History, Fiqh, Aqaid and Akhlaq.
Alongside with our own syllabus, which was created by our own staff members, we also use the Islamic books published by Majlis e Ulema Shia (MUS).
Our teachers strive to make the lessons interactive and make learning fun.
Information for Parents:
We at Hussainia madressa feel the relationship between parents and teachers is very important, and welcome parental support in learning and homework.
Regular Attendance is very important, and ask parents to notify the madressa in the case of absence. Three absences in a row without informing Madressa Management will lead to your child being taken off the madressa register.
We send regular newsletter informing parents of upcoming events and holidays.
An Annual Parent teacher meeting is held to inform you of your child’s progress and to respond to any other queries.
If you would like to meet your child’s teacher other than the annual meeting, please feel free to make an appointment.
Children must have turned four years old before they can begin at madressa.
The madressa charges a nominal enrolment fee of £15 and annual fee of £15.
If children misplace resources/handbooks etc, payment must be made for a replacement .
Hussainia madressa currently has a waiting list, if you are interested in enrolling your child please contact us.
